Playing Together: Moonbeams Sessions
The Telford and Wrekin Library and Oakengates Children’s Centre are joining forces to deliver a special project together. They will be working with a local artist to create sessions for children filled with creativity, fun, singing and exploring. There will be a morning session at the Oakengates library and an afternoon session at the Wakes. This will be a FREE session with plenty of toys to play with, music to listen to and new parents/carers for you to meet.
Date and time: Every Wednesday from 5th October – 23rd November at 1 – 2:30pm. Price: FREE. Age: 0-5.
Family Friendly Autumn Walk
Visit Severn Gorge during October half term for a walk around the heritage site, play games, listen to stories, try out nature themed activities and eat cakes and drink hot chocolate.
Date and time: Wednesday 26th October at 10am – 12pm. Price: £3. Under 2’s are FREE.
Spooky Drama in the Forest
Attend this Halloween themed outdoor 2 day workshop to create your own spooky performance just in time for the holiday. The workshop is aimed at 7-12 year olds and at the end of the workshop they will perform their show to friends and family. The class is great for boosting confidence and gaining new drama skills for those interested in acting.
Date and time: Wednesday 26th – Thursday 27th October, 9:30am – 3:30pm both days. Price: FREE.
Telford Dark Run
The Telford Dark Run is back this year to raise funds for Hope House Children’s Hospices. Together with your friends and family you can run, jog or walk 5k in the dark. Before the run starts you will do a clubbercise workout to get you all warmed up at 6.15pm before Rhys from Newport will start the countdown and sound the starter hooter!
The course is two laps, therefore little or tired legs are more than welcome to complete just one lap if they wish. All participants will receive a fabulous goody bag and bespoke glow in the dark medal.
Date and time: Saturday 29th October at 6:30pm. Price: Adults are £10, children are £5. For an additional £25 you can purchase a Hope House bobble hat.

What’s On at Theatre Severn
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
“Get Your Wigle On return with the fun filled family adventure of eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts, as he sets about restoring an old race car with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima.
They soon discover the car is magic, and has the ability to float and take flight. When the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself, the family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.”
Date and time: Saturday 1st at 7:30pm & Sunday 2nd at either 12pm, 2:30pm, 6pm. The show is 65 minutes long with no interval. Price: £16.50.

Unbelievable Science

Sleeping Beauty

The Classical Ballet and Opera House have partnered for the first time with a ballet company from Moldova which is welcoming Ukrainian artists who have recently fled their home country, providing an opportunity for them to continue to dance on stage and delight audiences.”

The Nutcracker
