Pudding & Pie Food & Nutrition Classes
The team at Pudding & Pie having been teaching cooking and baking for over 10 years and love to teach new skills and grow people’s confidence in the kitchen. The majority of their sessions are online via Zoom, and they send over the ingredients a week before the class, so you don’t have to worry about getting everything together last minute!
Each recipe is chosen with nutrition in mind, and they will choose meals that support those with certain dietary requirements. The skills that the children will learn are:
- How to make a meal from scratch
- How to create a basic sauce that can be adapted to make many other dishes
- Different cultural dishes
- Traditional family favourites
- Food safety in the kitchen
- Food hygiene, storage and shelf life.
Young children do regularly attend their sessions, though of course you will need to be there to support them. If you have a teenager at home who is doing their Duke of Edinburgh award, they are welcome to try out Pudding & Pie’s DofE sessions, where they will get extra guidance towards achieving their award.
Their classes are £5 per family, and you can pay as you go!
