Champions in our Community
At Freedom Fostering we care about our community and always strive to support those who are in need of our help. This is our chance to encourage our young people to become an active part of society, to learn what others are facing in difficult times, and to offer our support to those in need. We take on new projects every year, always looking for a new challenge to face, and we always involve our young people in the decision-making process.
Additionally, the government has set out 5 outcomes for us to achieve for the children in our society. These 5 outcomes play an essential part in valuing children, protecting them, promoting their interests and listening to their views.
The 5 outcomes follow the acronym: SHEEP, which stands for:
- Staying safe: being protected from harm and neglect and growing up able to look after themselves.
- Being healthy: enjoying good physical and mental health and living a healthy lifestyle.
- Enjoying and achieving: getting the most out of life and developing broad skills for adulthood.
- Economic well-being: overcoming socio-economic disadvantages to achieve their full potential in life.
- Making a positive contribution: to the community and to society and not engaging in anti-social or offending behavior.
