Brewood Music Festival

The Brewood Music Festival will feature many different genres of music from jazz, to folk, rock, contemporary, classical and much more! Brewood Music Festival is a family-friendly festival featuring a combination of headline acts and tributes to some of the world’s biggest bands. Scouting for Girls will be headlining the festival on Saturday night, along with Dr Feelgood, Clearwater Creedence Revival, Fleetwood Mad and The Icon. Sunday’s headliners are filled with cover bands including Archie Macdonald, The Copicats, The Black Country Beatles, The Darker My Horizon, Thunder Hammer and Bon Giovi.

You will be allowed to bring your own chairs and a picnic, though there will be limited food available.

Date and time: Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd July, 4:30 – 8pm. Location: St. Dominic’s Grammar School for Boys and Girls, 32 Bargate Street, Brewood, ST19 9BA. Price: £45 for both days.

Multi Activity Days

Crewe Lifestyle Centre will be holding activity days with lots of different sporting or recreational activities for young people to get involved in, including access to their swimming pool. Their activities will include swimming, Crash Mat Surfing, Hockey, Football, Bench ball, Dodgeball, Team races and crafts. Free places are available to children receiving free school meals, click here for more information.

Date and time: 25th – 29th July, 9am – 3pm. Location: Crewe Lifestyle Centre, Moss Square, Crewe, CW1 2BB. Price: £16 per day, but if you book for the whole week you’ll get Friday for FREE! Age: Age 8 – Year 8.

Ability for All Activ8

Activ8 is an exclusive soft play session for young people with an impairment or additional need in a specialist soft play facility. The sessions allow families the opportunity to visit a soft play centre to have a go, try out new activities, supervised by staff and let off steam. The children can play on the specialist soft play equipment and get creative with arts and crafts, supervised by the friendly coaches and volunteers while parents take the opportunity to have a cuppa and chat to like minded parents.

Date and time: Monday 4th July, 5:30pm – 7pm. Location: Playworld, 416 Newcastle Road, Shavington, CW2 5EB. Price: FREE.

Activity Hub

Activity Hubs are a fortnightly multi-sport and play session at Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre which are suitable for those aged 4 to 17 with an impairment or additional support need. The Hub will offer a variety of activities including multi sports such as soft archery, new age curling, racket and ball sports, bowling, football, dodgeball and there will be arts/crafts and board games. The different activities will be adapted to make sure they are suitable for all ages and ability levels, this ensures people enjoy the session, develop social skills and explore their abilities.

Wind in the Willows Performance

“The Wind In The Willows will delight audiences of all ages. This riotous comedy follows the impulsive Mr. Toad, whose insatiable need for speed, lands him in serious trouble. With his beloved ancestral home under threat from the notorious Chief Weasel and his gang of sinister Wild Wooders, Toad and his friends Mole, Ratty and Badger, must battle not only to save Toad Hall, but their very way of life! This magical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows captures all the wit and camaraderie of Kenneth Grahame’s novel, and brings the delights of this literary classic to yet another generation.

Messy Play – Under the Sea

Little Sensory in Staffordshire loves to watch your little ones get gloriously splatty, squelchy, squishy and messy in their messy play sessions. The sessions encourage the little ones to explore their surroundings no matter how shy they are, in a secure, welcoming environment.

The Addams Family Musical Comedy

“In its typical creepy, mysterious, and spooky fashion, the Addams family is visiting the graveyard for an annual gathering of all family members, living, dead, and undecided, to celebrate what it is to be an Addams. However, the family encounters an unforeseen obstacle when Wednesday decides to introduce her new “normal” boyfriend Lucas to the family. In protest, Uncle Fester enlists the help of the Addams’ ancestors to call an end to the young budding romance.”

Matilda the Musical

Join StageScreen MTA students as they bring Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin’s hit musical Matilda Jr. to the stage in Burton!
