We understand the importance of respite days for foster carers and our Support Workers ensure that time together with these children is an exciting and productive experience.
Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, we had the pleasure of taking two children to Forge Mill Farm in West Bromwich for a fun-packed day in the sunshine.
We packed a delicious picnic lunch full of healthy treats for the group which we enjoyed sitting outside under the trees.
The children were very excited to be given the opportunity to bottle feed some lambs and goats. They were also able to watch the cows being milked in the dairy where they learned about the process and what work goes in to getting the cows from the fields to the farm.
There was a petting zoo section of the farm and the children loved being able to hold and stroke the rabbits and chickens that roamed around. Outdoor activities on the farm were enjoyed by all as the girls sat on the tractor and pretended to milk the cows.
